Amanda Plowman is an associate in the health care litigation practice group at Prospera Law representing health care insurers in complex litigation.
Prior to joining Prospera Law, Amanda worked at a civil litigation and trial firm focused on prosecuting and litigating insurance fraud perpetrated against healthcare insurers, self-insured groups, and casualty and workers’ compensation insurance carriers. Amanda represented clients concerning California’s Insurance Frauds Prevention Act (Insurance Code Section 1871.7), state and federal False Claims Acts, and California Unfair Competition Law (Business and Professions Code Section 17200) causes of action and has experience taking legal action against illegal business practices such as kickbacks, lay person ownership of a professional corporation, and improper CPT coding.
Amanda graduated from Loyola University Chicago School of Law in May of 2017 with Health Law and Trial Advocacy Juris Doctor certificates. Amanda was an Assistant Editor on the Journal of Regulatory Compliance and a member of the Health Law Regulatory and Compliance competition team.
