Eda Oerkuen is an associate in the firm's Corporate Transactional Group with a practice focusing on Venture Growth and M&A matters. Eda represents emerging growth and later-stage technology companies, and venture and private equity investors in corporate formations, angel and venture capital financings, mergers and acquisitions, growth equity investments, corporate and securities law and corporate governance matters.

Practice Highlights:

• Advised prominent venture capital fund in early-stage equity and token financings
• Advised founders and start-up companies in entity formations, general corporate strategy, equity awards to employees, securities filings, and various rounds of financings through the full evolution of the company's life
• Advised companies on industry specific laws and regulations and cross-border transactions in liquor, cosmetics, and technology sectors

Prior to joining the firm, Eda was working in the entertainment industry serving as in-house counsel where she focused on development and production of motion pictures.

In her spare time, Eda enjoys spending time in nature, going to the beach with her two dogs, practicing yoga, traveling, and attending concerts and music festival events.

Eda holds a Master of Laws (LL.M.) from the University of Southern California Gould School of Law where she was a Dean's Academic Excellence Scholar. Eda received her Dipl.-Jurist (J.D.) from the Humboldt University in Berlin. She is admitted to practice law in California.
